FIRST DAY HOME SCHOOL - Maya Zayn

Vì bạn Delta và Lambda mà mình phải học ở nhà.

Zayn was supposed to start pre-K this year. Due to his weak immune system, the original plan was to keep him at home and I will continue to teach him how to read and write until there’s a vaccine for kids.

Since big sister is going to be homeschooled, we figured might as well get him started with kindergarten curriculum because we know he’s capable of doing it.

I cannot wait to see how he takes on this new journey. You’ve got this, Zaynie boy! 🥰

Summer is officially over for this girl. She had the best summer filled with swimming lessons, days in the pool, taekwondo classes, Vietnamese lessons, bike rides, never ending days of playing with little brother, and a little sprinkle of online reading and math.

Maya was supposed to start in-person 1st grade a few days ago. After a lot of consideration, we decided to homeschool instead. Since it was a last minute decision, we got ourselves a few more days to get things ready for this brand new journey. If last school year had taught me anything, it would be how resilient this girl was while adapting herself to virtual school, meeting new teacher, making new friends virtually, putting up with me as her learning coach, while still excelled and enjoyed every moment.

Homeschooling is a new experience for both of us, we will figure things out and adjust as we go. Though there are still many uncertainties, one thing I know for sure, Maya will continue to face every challenge that comes her way with grace and a bright smile on her face.
