CONFORMABILITY IN "TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD" - Ti Oui

In the novel "To Kill A Mocking Bird", a character known as Atticus strongly chooses not to conform to society.  The effect of the action was positive in both long term and immediate one.

When Atticus doesn't conform, he enjoys a life style that is comfortable for him.  No one really gets to teach him how he should live.  This allows Atticus to have a life style that works and is right through his view.  He doesn't suffer from the pressure to be a part of society.

The positive out come is that he lives by how he sees that fits to him.  With a life style like that, life can be a lot less stressful and more free.

A scholar can use this to say that a person shouldn't conform at all, some life can be less stressful if a person choose to do so.  A person should only be kind and polite to a different group, but not conform completely.
