WALKING ALONG TWO SIDES OF TWO COUNTRIES - A.S.

Dear Huong,

Yesterday I went today to another village in the area in Belgium just across the border to the south of the Netherlands to start my walk. The village is called Teuven. It is a small village and it was difficult to find a good spot to park the car. The surrounding were very different during the walk. The walk passed again the border with the Netherlands. It went up, through paths in the forest and also down. There were places where you could watch from above to the hills in the area. There was also a stream, called the Gulp, going to that area, flowing towards the Netherlands. This stream was not controlled and was so meandering through the fields.

Today I went to another area to walk. But the connection was that I walked along the same stream as yesterday, the stream called the Gulp. It streams from Belgium to the Netherlands and flows into another stream. It flows into the other stream in a place called Gulpen. Today I walked in the Netherlands, along that stream and then turn around to the place where I parked the car.

In the Netherlands it is possible to walk along the stream, it meanders through the fields, moving the track of the stream. Trees falling down. There were small bridges to cross the stream, Walk through the fields I even saw a few stables with cows along the way. A big tree had broken, fallen down, cross the path. And of course, more crosses, far views over the hills, A bit of the same, but also different, as areas differ from each other.
