BEING AWARE OF THE THOUGHTS


A. is able to recognize and acknowledge his raising arm
when his arm is raised :) 


Mindfulness is also about being aware of the thoughts you have while they are emerging.  All of us tend to have thought after thought - in fact, to get lost in our thoughts - but not even to be aware that we are having them.  Something wonderful happens when we are able to recognize and acknowledge our thoughts, even as they happen.
