Quá weeps …
Song written in White Album during the start of the Beatles’s break up - biggg internal arguments, all displayed in the song lyrics.
Eric Clapton played all the lead guitar but never got credit… typical cockiness of the 4 heads monster ( Name that Mick Jagger calls Beatles’s).
Technically it’s a simple song in A, run descending in bass. Verse runs in its minor while the chorus runs in its major form. Cleverness is in the turn around bridges in each verse and that haunting guitar from Eric Clapton- heavy in chorus with a bit of pitch modulated .
Final note, recommend to listen to Mr Martin’s quartets arrangement on top of George‘s original demo. Produced by Gile Martin for Beatles’s show in Vegas called Love (HNHD saw in Vegas).
Simply elegant 😍👍
