When you're feeling low (down, angry, not yourself, serious, frightened, or whatever), rather than trust what you are seeing and feeling, and taking it too seriously and reacting to it, see if you can become just a little suspicious of the way you're seeing things. Rather than blaming yourself, or others, or your circumstances, put at least some of the blame where it belongs - on your mood.
